Aqua Map Canada

From British Columbia to the Great Lakes and beyond, The Aqua Map Canada App from GEC s.r.l offers a full range of Canadian nautical charts from The Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS). After the initial purchase of the app, you can simply download the desired chart on your smart device at no additional cost then access it at a later date to navigate your route. The charts offer every detail required for precise navigation including depth contours, spot soundings, buoys, beacons, sea floor information, obstructions, and rocks, to name just a few. The app also allows you to store unlimited tracks and markers, and measure distances. You can even share tracks, markers and images.

Fishing BC App

The free FishingBC app has a range of features exclusively for BC-based saltwater anglers – or visitors who want to fish the Pacific Coast. Launched by the Sport Fishing Institute of BC, some functions include current regulations (including information on species, boundary maps, conservation areas, closures or contamination alerts), the Personal Catch Log and Species Identification for Salmon and other game fish in BC’s tidal waters. You can also upload and store your BC fishing license. The FishingBC app is available for iOS or Android devices.

Fishing Points

With the wealth of features and functions, the free Fishing Points app can be used by anglers before, during and even after a fishing trip. In addition to enabling you to save your fishing locations, hotspots, and waypoints, you can record trolling paths and trotlines. You can even find saved locations with its GPS tool. Fishing Points also relays current weather conditions with hourly forecasts, and tide prediction charts. With its featured solunar data, you can find sunrise and sunset times; moonrise and moonset times; and sun and moon phases. Rounding out some of its key features is the Fishing Log and image sharing.
