Sperry 7 Seas Knit Footwear
Sperry’s 7 Seas Knit footwear is designed for the rigours of the marine environment. For starters, you’ll appreciate what the company calls the Intense Vent construction that uses a water-repelling mesh that dries quickly and will keep your feet dry in a variety of conditions. They also have a breathable midsole, plus a non-marking, rubber outsole featuring the company’s Razor-Cut Wave-Siping to provide optimum traction no matter how wet your deck gets. The 7 Seas Knit incorporates Terrain Traction Pods for more grip on land and its 360-degree lacing system provides a secure fit.

Wiley X Kryptek Polarized Sunglasses
Wiley X Kryptek Polarized Sunglasses
Wiley X Kryptek Polarized Sunglasses
There are many design features that go into great eyewear. Some you see right away, some you don’t. As soon as you put the Wiley X on, you can sense that you see better – the view is sharp and crisp, your eyes are relaxed. This is critical if you are going to spend hours on the water wearing your shades. But how can you tell for certain? Take a cheap pair of mirrored sunglasses and look at your reflection in the lens - then move the lens around and watch how your reflection distorts. When you are wearing them your eyes have to work to correct this distortion – fatiguing your eyes, often causing eyestrain and headaches. Which is why I knew right away I could wear the Wiley X all day without strain or fatigue – there is no distortion.
Our demo pair is the Omega in the Kryptek Neptune frame with the polarized green mirror lens. The Omega frame fits comfortably and provides great coverage from all angles while the Kryptek graphic is one of the coolest camouflage frame graphics I’ve ever seen. The polarized mirrored emerald green lenses are perfect for long sunny or bright overcast days on the water. And the lenses are tough. They meet High Velocity and High Mass Impact Standards which means frames and lenses must withstand the impact of a .25 inch diameter steel ball fired at 150 fps (ANSI) or .15 projectiles fired at 640-660 fps (spectacle VO Ballistic), making them the choice for military and law enforcement personnel. This doesn’t make them scratch proof, but high quality eyewear deserves high quality accessories so Wiley X includes a zippered hard case, leash cord, and microfiber cleaning cloth to help you keep them immaculate for years of service.
