The 2018-2019 season is upon us, so make sure that you purchase your license before heading to the lake.
Under an agreement signed between the Province and the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC in 2015, 100% of the revenue generated from fishing licenses directly benefits recreational fisheries. Every penny is invested into research, conservation, and educational programs; improving angler access; and our stocking program.

Scholarship Applications Are Now Being Accepted
The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC awards up to four scholarship grants each year, valued up to $1,500 each. These scholarships are available to students enrolled in a fish culture or fisheries management program within a recognized post-secondary educational institution in BC. To be eligible, applicants must have completed at least their first year of post-secondary studies and plan to continue as a student, with the intent of establishing a career in BC in one of the following fields: fish culture; recreational fisheries management; fisheries enhancement, conservation and/or research. Previous recipients are not eligible to reapply.
