We have two BC fishing derbies this coming weekend, June 25 and 26, combining fun and fundraising.
The 3rd annual Salmon Enhancement Derby takes place Saturday & Sunday at Moutcha Bay Resort. This derby is designed to raise funds for salmon enhancement and habitat restoration projects within the Nootka Sound watershed, benefiting not only the salmon fishing community but our local natural environment. $8500 in total cash prizes plus a prize table. The Steveston Salmon Festival presents the 27th annual Steveston Bullhead Derby Sunday at Garry Point Park. Open to kids 12 and under & seniors 65 and over. Free entry & prizes. For details, click here.
