Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC
Freshwater fishing licences for the 2018-19 season are now available. You can purchase your licence here - just remember to have your Angler Number handy, and select 2018-19 as the year. Since 100% of freshwater licence revenue is invested back into recreational fisheries, buying your licence helps us stock more than 800 lakes a year; fund research, conservation, and education programs; and improve angler access.
Update on Whirling Disease
In 2017, through funding from the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation, Province of B.C., and Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC, Stephanie Whyte was hired as Whirling Disease Coordinator to prevent the spread of the disease into B.C. Spring releases of catchable-sized trout begins soon
Spring releases are scheduled to begin in the middle of March. Those who regularly check the stocking reports on www.gofishbc.com will notice that these releases will not be updated on the reports until the end of March; we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
