The July long weekend produced some of biggest fish of the season! It has been the best summer start to the season in years. Halibut in the 25 to 65 lb range are everywhere. Chinook/Kings/Springs 20 to 26 lb are the norm in daily limits, with Tyees (30+) getting more regular each week.
Ferrer Pt., the Pins, the inside Glory Hole and McQuarrie are all excellent on-shore catching locations. Off shore the Guitar, Pins, “T” and Whales Tail are producing well. Early morning limits on salmon, with Ling and halibut in the afternoon, are working best with the present tide patterns.
