Ryan Price, from Fort St. John, caught this hulking 9.5 kg (21 lbs) Spring salmon on May 14, Mother's Day. It was caught on anchovy with a cop car header, at 21 m (70 ft), while fishing at Coopte Pt., at the south end of Tahsis Inlet as it enters Nootka Sound.
Ryan and his two friends all caught their limits, with the remaining five springs weighing 4.5 to 7.7 kg (10-17 lbs).

Meanwhile today, May 17, saw Kevin Zarubic from Red Deer, Alberta, bring in a 30 kg (67 lb) halibut. That's a whole lot of fish!
