Great River Fishing
Fishing Report for Chilliwack to Vancouver – May 8, 2018
Great River Fishing
Great River Fishing has your Vancouver to Chilliwack fishing report from June 8th.
They provide knowledge about the areas and which techniques successfully target all species. With most of the rivers in southern BC now on the drop, fishing has been ahead of schedule by about 2-3 weeks.
Sturgeon:
The Fraser River has crested and is currently dropping hard… it is in prime shape for this early season and we have seen some incredibly large fish of late!! The river has fallen to the tune of 15 feet in 2 weeks and this has opened up all sorts of fishing hot spots! This also gets the fish more spread out however they still seem to be clustered in small groups. What this mean to the angler is that they should be moving more. Even 100 feet can make the difference.

Pitt River:
With June upon us we have started our annual Pitt River Fishery. We have seen some monster fish already and it’s shaping up to be a good season. The Sea Run Bulls have started their annual migration up the river and the fishing should only get better as the month progresses. This special fishery continues through the summer but having said that typically the best Bull Trout fishing is right after freshet as the fish are entering the river feeding hard on salmon fry.
