Few RV’s inspire the passion for the mobile lifestyle more so than Camper Vans. ‘Camper Heaven’ by author Dee Campling details the reason behind the zeal for Van Life. She entertainingly describes the history of the camper van, and her journey of RVing, culminating in the design of her own camper van and the lifestyle in provides.
Camper vans afford owners with the opportunity to personalize the tiny home on wheels more than any other style of RVing. Although beautifully crafted vans, Class B’s as we call them, can be purchased from dealer lots, Campling showcases a dozen of her favourite owner designed units, complete with style tips, and how creative concepts express the perfect space for the owners. Van conversions often start with a new, windowless panel van, or in other cases, ambulances, horse lorries, and vintage vans.
The book is a good read, both entertaining and informative. It offers the reader an insight into the magnetic draw of RVing by camper van as well as the endless opportunities to express individual style and choose from the endless diversity of travel adventures.
