This is it. The federal government's long awaited public meetings on Kinder Morgan are happening now through to the end of August. This is your last chance to officially have your say about the project before the government makes its final decision in December.
We know that mid-summer meetings aren't ideal, but if you care about our coast, our communities and our climate, you can't afford to sit this one out. The Prime Minister is under huge pressure to approve a west coast pipeline, and he needs to see a strong showing at these meetings to make it clear that BC does not grant social license for Kinder Morgan.
Together, we've won another chance to tell the government our concerns about Kinder Morgan, and now it's time to show up and be heard.
With so much at stake for coastal communities along the tanker route, it's disappointing that Vancouver and Victoria are the only two coastal locations with scheduled meetings. We're working on options to help more coastal community residents take part. Stay tuned for more details!
