The Shuswap is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts who like to take the road less travelled. At area communities – both rural and urban – you can check out any one of the several outdoor events to enhance your visit.
When visiting the Shuswap, it’s hard not to realize the popularity of live music. From nationally acclaimed festivals with big billings to weekly events in lakeside parks with local talent, the choices are there to enjoy throughout the season. Shuswap events also expand to showcase the works of regional artists, the agricultural community, and local businesses. Be sure to save the dates for these upcoming celebrations this summer.

The Delight of Shuswap Farm and Craft Markets
Agriculture has a long-standing history in the Shuswap and is supported by the many farmers’ markets throughout the north and south Shuswap. Visit any one to browse and stock up on naturally raised beef, chicken, sausages, free-range eggs, baked goods and of course, fresh local produce. Many markets start laying out their goods out as early as April and run until October. Days and time vary depending on the community.
