The 360 measures 11’11” in length, and features the same wide body design and deluxe features found on the 390 and 430 models. “Ever since the Generation was launched in 2008, consumers have been calling for a similar product in the 12-foot category,” said Chris Carroll, VP of Sales for Walker Bay. “With comfort and styling to match, we anticipate that the Generation 360 will quickly become one of our most popular products on the market.”
The past three years have seen Generation RIB sales continue to expand into new areas of distribution worldwide. In fact, there has been a consistent and growing demand from both owners of luxury yachts and consumers interested in the use of a deluxe runabout. The one additional constant has been requests for a 12’ model, a 360 Generation RIB. “This product both meets and exceeds our expectations, and we were thrilled to launch it at the Miami Boat Show in February 2011,” said Stefano Rista, President of Walker Bay.
Loaded with Luxury Features
The wide body design, walk through interior and open cockpit allow for easy maneuverability and more legroom. The driver’s seat features a high back cushioned bench with a rounded side to give extra support on sharp turns. Ample storage lockers keep the cockpit free and clear, with an extra large storage hatch opening up underneath the pilot seat to access the stern storage compartment. Heavy-duty, high-density cushions with reinforced contrast stitching provide exceptionally comfortable seating and a teak inlay has been added to both the bow step and the pilot seat boarding step. The ergonomic console continues to feature outstanding glasswork and styling, with a large dashboard, stainless steel support rail and cup holder. There is also a removable fuel tank and quick access battery compartment.
Superior Performance and Handling
When it comes to performance, the Generation fiberglass hull has a deep V in the bow, which cuts through the water providing a smooth solid ride. As it propels through the water, the concave chines deflect the water down reducing spray and increasing hull traction for aggressive maneuvering while the stern of the hull flattens out to facilitate planing at low speeds. Above the water, the Generation is designed to make equal use of aerodynamics to maximize speed and control. The sloping design of the bow step pushes the boat down at the front while the downward curve of the stern lifts the tail to increase stability and handling.
