Last Friday, U.S. President Trump, Canadian Prime Minster Trudeau, and Mexican President Nieto formally signed the new NAFTA trade agreement, now known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), without the removal of the retaliatory tariffs on recreational boats. NMMA is supportive of USMCA, but will keep working to eliminate the tariffs on U.S. boat exports to Canada and Mexico. These exports continue to suffer as a result of the tariffs and in turn threaten jobs and businesses in all three countries.
