Retractable sunshade manufacturer SureShade said two of its products had world premieres as factory installations earlier this month at the Miami International Boat Show and at Yachts Miami Beach.
The company debuted the SureShade RTX Pull-out Shade on the Scout 275 Dorado at the Miami boat show and the SureShade M3 Shade for megayachts on the Sabre 66 Dirigo at Yachts Miami Beach. Both shows were held Feb. 11-15.
Scout Boats was the first OEM to debut the SureShade RTX Pull-Out Shade as a factory-installed option with the showcase of the 275 Dorado at the Miami boat show. SureShade said boat models with other major OEMs are already on order and expected to debut in 2016.
Sabre Yachts was the first OEM to debut the SureShade M3 for megayachts with the world premiere of its 66 Dirigo at Yachts Miami Beach. The SureShade M3 is an automated retractable shade with a three-stage design that extends shade as much as 10 feet for larger yachts.
SureShade said it was featured on more than 65 models at the Miami shows. With the debut of the all-new 310 SLX and 450 Sundancer, Sea Ray has 11 boat models offering SureShade as a factory install, leading SureShade’s comprehensive OEM portfolio.
“By debuting the RTX and M3 as factory options in Miami we have demonstrated to the industry that SureShade now has a shade solution for every boat size and style,” SureShade business leader and co-founder Dana Russikoff said in a statement.
“We’re proud of our impressive showing of shades on over 65 boats in Miami — up nearly 500 percent in just the last three years. From debuting on more and more new OEM clients to consistently adding multiple models in boat lines, it’s clear that SureShade is the industry’s trusted supplier for boat shade products.”
