Lund Boats is introducing a new LX Series of pontoon boats for 2017 in lengths of 20, 22 and 24 feet, with five distinct floor plans available at each length.
Lund said its LX Series pontoons reflect the brand’s 70-year heritage and have been designed all new from the ground up for a spectrum of uses, from family cruising to serious fishing.
“Lund’s boatbuilding experience and listening to our customers really shows in how the LX Series pontoons are designed and equipped,” Lund marketing manager Tony Kolker said in a statement. “From Lund’s robust construction to a host of inspired luxury and convenience features, the LX Series offers what we feel is the industry’s best combination of innovation, value, comfort and performance.”
Kolker also said LX Series models, including a 50-hp Mercury ELPT 4-stroke engine, are advertised starting at $19,849. All LX Series pontoons feature 25-inch diameter baffled-chamber tubes and a full-width aluminum cross-member layout.
Customers can select among the standard dual-tube model; the sport package option, which features a modified center tube, lifting strakes and keel; and the performance plus upgrade, which offers all of the sport package features, plus a full-length center tube.
There are four color packages, including an optional black anodized fence and bimini. Lund LX Series pontoon boats can accommodate an engine as large as 200 hp and offer fuel capacity from 28 gallons (standard) to 37 gallons. Layout styles include two walk-through configurations, a “lounge and cruise” layout, and two layouts geared to fishing.
The Lund LX aft fishing station (fish and fish-and-cruise configurations) feature a split 11-gallon live well and an aerated bait well with a timer and a removable bait bucket. Two lockable tackle storage drawers accommodate as many as eight 3600 Series tackle trays.
