Plenty for Outdoors Enthusiasts at Edmonton Boat & Sportsmen’s Show March 12-15
Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows (CNSS), organizer of the 2015 Edmonton Boat and Sportsmen’s Show, says this year’s Edmonton show will feature over 20 million dollars in boats, marine products and accessories. The show runs from March 12 to 15 inclusive at the Expo Centre, Northlands in Edmonton, Alberta.
Some enjoy paddling down a river, or cruising through inlets, while others prefer catching the wind in their sails, or racing through a slalom course with a skier in tow. Regardless of what type of boating you enjoy, visitors should find any type of vessel that interests them so they can compare, shop and place orders in time for spring delivery. Product on display will include boats, trailers, ski ropes and water toys. It will also feature fishing, hunting, camping and ATV product, along with the supporting gear and accessories.
Show Features
With the latest products and high-tech gear on hand, some exhibiting manufacturers will present product demos. This year, Markio Izumi, from the World Fishing Network’s Hookin’ Up will be on hand Friday and Saturday from 3:00-5:00 pm to chat with fellow fishing enthusiasts and sign autographs.
The first ever Ladies Night will take place on Friday, March 13 from 5:00-8:00 pm. All ladies attending the Show on Friday evening will receive half price admission after 5:00 pm.

For young outdoor enthusiasts, the Trigger X Kids Fishing Pond is a catch and release program for kids under the age of 12. Here they can try their hand at trout fishing. Participation is by donation with all the proceeds going to the Edmonton Fish and Game Associations.
The National Archery in the Schools Program Championships will once again take place throughout the Show. This event will see hundreds of school-aged kids from across Canada take part to determine the National Champions.
The presentations by the dedicated staff of the Alberta Birds of Prey will not only provide insight into the work that the centre does regarding preservation, conservation and education, but also rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing endangered birds of prey back into the wild. Audiences will also be given an opportunity to interact and take photographs of these amazing creatures following each presentation.
The show also offers visitors the chance to win some prizes. This year consumers can enter to win a fishing trip for two courtesy of BonChovy Fishing Charters (valued at over $5,000), a weekend houseboat vacation (valued at $2,200) from Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacations and a $3,000 Gift Package provided by Husqvarna.
