Canadian Yachting
The ZOOM Workshop will be on Tuesday Feb 23rd & Thursday Feb 25th, from 8:00p.m. - 10:30 p.m. EST, with Dr. Gordon Giesbrecht.
This workshop is for anyone working or spending time recreating on or near cold water. Learn how to survive accidental cold-water immersion as well as how to help others who may have become hypothermic.

- How Our Bodies React to Heat and Cold Stimuli
- 4 Ways Our Bodies Lose Heat
- What Happens to Our Bodies When Immersed in Cold Water
- Immersion vs. Submersion in Cold Water
- Cold Water Survival and Thermal Protective Clothing
- Basic First Response…When You’re the Only One Who Can Help!
- The Decision to Stay or Swim When You’re on Your Own
The Online Cold-Water Workshop is $50
Participants will receive a certificate of completion.
Register by going to the Canadian Safe Boating Council website www.csbc.ca and selecting Cold Water Workshop under “Events”. Please note that the course instruction will be in English.
