VYC event cancellation
Vernon Yacht Club (VYC)
The VYC Boat & Watersports Show, Vernon Yacht Club’s 31st annual boat show, has been cancelled due to dock damage.
Damage to the docks by weather and wear have made them unusable until after repairs can be completed. The Vernon Yacht Club Executive has approved the replacement of "C" Dock, the upgrading of "A" Dock and work will be commencing March 23rd. This is a $500,000.00 project which will enhance the member and guest experience and generally improve the safety for all in the marina.
As a result the VYC 2020 Annual Boat Show scheduled for May 2nd & 3rd, will be cancelled for this year returning next season.
Crane day on April 18th will remain as scheduled, and Scott Chapman our Fleet Captain will be in touch with members going into the water as to where you will be able to put you boat during the construction period.
