BC Multihull Society invites newcomers
Canadian Yachting
The BC Multihull Society (BCMS) has been in existence since 1969, cruising and racing in the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest. Their goal is to promote the use of multihull ships, vessels and boats of every description. Many of our members have been involved in building their own boats and have sailed in many parts of the world. While the majority of our members are centrally located in the lower half of BC, the BCMS stretches north to the Queen Charlotte Islands, east to Alberta, and south to Mexico.
The club has three major boating events. They usually take place in May, July and September. Many other social events take place as well during the year. To learn more about the British Columbia Multihull Society look around their website. The membership is always eager to answer any questions you may have.
Club Events
Cruising / Sail-in
BCMS members spend most of their cruising time on Canada’s West coast. A few of them are scattered across the country and around the world. Their three major cruising/racing events are the Victoria Day sail-in at Port Browning on Pender Island, the Summer sail-in at Newcastle Island near Naniamo, and and the Labour Day sail-in, again at Port Browning.
Racing
BCMS members participate in two annual BCMS races and several local races that are hosted by other sailing organizations. They award several trophies based on individual and “best of” results.
