Yesterday was opening day at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Garmin International launched a few new products that are expected to be available in early 2019.
The GPSMAP 8600/8600xsv series (an extension of the GPSMAP 8600 series):
- Wi-Fi-enabled
- BlueChart g3 coastal charts
- LakeVü g3 inland maps with Navionics data and Auto Guidance technology.
- The cartography includes navigational aids, spot soundings, depth contours, tides and currents, and detailed harbors and marinas.
The InReach MiniMarine Bundle:
- Wirelessly connects with compatible Garmin plotters, handhelds and wearables.
- Uses Iridium satellite network to work anywhere.
There were also some accessories announcements:
- Reactor Autopilot Remote.
- GRID 20 Remote Input Device.
- GC 200 Marine IP Camera.
