The Four Freedoms Trail is a scenic 20 km (12.3-mile) trail in northern Florida, largely following the former Valdosta & Southern Railroad right-of-way. Starting in the town of Madison and stretching to the Withlacoochee River at the Florida-Georgia border, the trail offers a mix of rural landscapes and shaded canopies. It begins as a wide roadside bike lane on State Rt. 145, transitioning into the tree-lined rail bed near Hanson and continuing through wooded areas up to Pinetta.

In Pinetta, the trail briefly switches to a bike lane along Persimmon Drive, with easy access to local amenities like a village store and BBQ spot. Ideal for biking, hiking, or leisurely strolls, the trail is a peaceful escape into nature and a great way to explore Florida’s lush countryside.
