From Parkbridge Resorts
Gallagher Lake – A Parkbridge RV Resort, is a truly special place; located on the northern tip of the Sonoran Desert, tucked up against 600-foot bluffs, in a valley carved out of the earth during the Ice Age. The resort is shadowed by towering ponderosa pines and when you first step foot on the property of Gallagher Lake Resort, you can feel the positive energy of centuries of time. The Lake is spring-fed and known to be over 100 feet deep, a perfect fishing spot for big mouth bass, small mouth bass, sunfish and perch. Some say the lake is geographically connected to the Shuswap, a nearby region known as one of the most popular recreational destinations in BC, offering 400 km (250 mi) of flawless shoreline. With 144 sites and seven camping cabins, the pet-friendly resort is definitely a busy spot where old friends come to meet and where new friendships are made. Approximately 18 acres in size, Gallagher Lake Resort is in the heart of the Wine Capital of Canada, with 40 plus wineries within 30 minutes of the property. Tour one on your own or ask one of their staff to arrange a custom tour for you. The area is known for its mild winters and optimum spring and autumn. Gallagher Lake Resort is open year-round. Located 10 minutes form Oliver and close to both Penticton and Osoyoos.
Weather
The location of Gallagher Lake is classified as semi-arid and is part of the only recognized desert area (name of dessert) in Canada. This one-of-a-kind climate provides travelers with views of flora and fauna unseen elsewhere in Canada.
Amenities
Gallagher Lake Resort offers a wide variety of clean, well-groomed campsites with towering Ponderosa Pine trees for shade. The sites accommodate motorhomes, campers, trailers or even tents. There are pull-through sites available, making it easier than ever to get set up before sitting down to relax or taking off on your adventure.
Of the 7 cabins for rent, 4 are located right next to the beach area in the lower resort, and 3 are found in the upper resort. Each cabin has one double bed and two bunk beds. There is electricity for your needs, with washrooms and showers located close by. Bring your favourite linens and own barbecue or camp stove to cook outside.

If you come in the spring, you can be sure to leave your stress behind and immerse yourself in unparalleled relaxation on the private beach. Hiking and biking trails are a short distance away. You can view wildlife and birds at nearby Vaseaux Lake. Tour and dine at the local award-winning wineries. Play a round of golf in one of the 4 nearby courses.
