The Annual Comox Victor Simonson Dragon Boat Races are all geared up! This amazing event takes place parallel to the Nautical Days Festival during Festival Weekend in Comox.
This year, the event is organized by Comox Recreation staff, Victor Simonson and Comox Valley dragon boat teams: Hope Afloat Canada, Prevailing Wins, Dragonflies, Blazing Paddles, Flying Dragons. Paddles up!
There are prizes for the top 4 teams in each division. You can watch all the races from the board walk, and enjoy a full day of racing while taking in the sights and sounds of Nautical Days. Viewing from the breakwater & jetty - Comox Harbour.
Schedule of Events:
- 8:00am to 8:45am: Team check in at the registration table. Waivers and team roster handed in.
- 8:30am: Official welcome and group warm up.
- 9:00am: Races begin
- 3:00pm to 3:30pm: Awards
