19th Annual Port Renfrew Labour Day Fishing Derby

Sept. 3 & 4, 2016 at Port Renfrew Marina

Coming up soon will be the marina's 19th annual Labor Day Derby and things are moving along well. We still could use donations or suggestions as to what businesses might want to pitch in and donate. Anyone with a suggestion of a business or person who may be willing to contribute please contact the office and let us know.

CASH PRIZES & RAFFLES:

• 1st prize $1000
• 2nd prize $500
• 3rd prize $250
• Lots more prizes including hidden weight, biggest fish for a woman and teen under 16, as well as silent and live auctions and raffles.

Tickets will be available at the office the day before the derby, and are $60.00 a rod, which includes a Port Renfrew Marina t-shirt, dinner, beverages and dance on Sunday

This year the Lake Cowichan Kinsmen will be serving dinner. The same band will be playing as last year, so get your dancing shoes ready!

The derby is a super fun event and if you haven’t attended it before, you should come see for yourselves what a great time it is. And bring a friend.

Funds raised will help support the San Juan Enhancement Society. We all want to see the salmon stocks kept alive and well for ourselves and future generations.
