Whenever I’m planning a road trip through the Canadian Rockies, Golden, British Columbia is a mandatory stop on my itinerary. Nestled among towering peaks and wild rivers, it’s home to one of the most breathtaking stops in western Canada: Golden Skybridge by Pursuit.
On August 4, 2026, the attraction unveiled its newest experience—Eagle Net Park—giving travelers of all ages a totally fresh, active way to explore the mountain forest canopy together.

Stepping Into the Treetops: What Eagle Net Park is Really Like
Positioned right at the end of Golden Skybridge’s iconic first suspension bridge, Eagle Net Park immediately draws you into the forest. Suspended seven metres above the mountain floor and stretching across nearly 500 square metres, this elevated playground lets you step directly off the trail and into the trees.
As you wander through, you’ll find:
- Elevated Bouncing Nets: High-energy suspended netting where you can leap and climb safely.
- Climbing Tunnels: Woven mesh tunnels connecting different sections of the forest canopy.
- Lookout Platforms: Serene wooden perches nestled among the branches.
- Aerial Walkways: Suspended footpaths offering stunning, unobstructed views into the deep canyon below.
The entire experience was designed to mimic the soaring raptors that call these mountains home. As Jason Crawford, general manager at Golden Skybridge, explained:
"Inspired by the eagles that soar above the canyon, Eagle Net Park lets guests become part of the forest canopy itself. As they climb through the trees and pause at lookout points, they experience the canopy from a perspective unlike anything else at Golden Skybridge.”
Incredible Value: Included with Your Standard Admission
One of my favourite details about Eagle Net Park is how accessible Pursuit has made it for visiting families. You don't need a special ticket upgrade or an expensive add-on pass to step onto the nets—Eagle Net Park is fully included with every standard Bridge Pass.
Whether you're traveling with nimble toddlers, energetic teenagers, or adventurous grandparents, the park offers a shared space where everyone can participate at their own pace. It represents a deliberate effort to make the beauty of the canyon open to every generation.

As Stuart Back, chief operating officer for Pursuit’s Canadian operations, shared during the opening:
"As a must-visit stop for travellers exploring the Canadian Rockies, Eagle Net Park gives families another way to explore. This is a deliberate, multi-year investment in an experience that belongs to this place and this community. We're proud that it opens the canyon to every guest, at every age."
Crafting a Full Day of Mountain Thrills
Eagle Net Park joins an already world-class roster of activities at Golden Skybridge. If you're building out your itinerary, you can easily spend half a day or more taking in the site's signature offerings:
- Canada’s Highest Suspension Bridges: Walking hundreds of feet above a roaring mountain river.
- The Railrunner Mountain Coaster: Whizzing down the mountainside through forest twists and turns.
- Canyon Swing & Zipline: High-flying adrenaline rushes across the gorge.
- Treehaven Ropes Course: Navigating obstacle elements built directly into the timber.
Don't Miss: The Rockies Rangers Program for Kids
If you're visiting with younger adventurers, there's another fantastic feature to take advantage of this season. Earlier this summer, Pursuit rolled out Rockies Rangers, a self-guided adventure program available across seven of their top attractions, including Golden Skybridge.
Designed for kids under 16, the program encourages young explorers to discover local wildlife, mountain history, and natural ecology while working their way through interactive challenges. Best of all, kids can earn collectible embroidered badges as they complete each milestone!

Built with Respect for the Natural Landscape
What makes Eagle Net Park feel so seamless is how harmoniously it blends into the surrounding ecosystem. Developed as part of Golden Skybridge’s long-term master plan in partnership with EcoSign Mountain Resort Planners, the park was custom-designed and installed by The Trekking Group.
Every element reflects Pursuit’s broader mission: creating sustainable, world-class experiences that help travelers build deep, lasting connections with Canada's most celebrated natural places.
