Country Heritage Park
Edited by Perry Mack
Nestled in the shadow of the Niagara Escarpment on the western frontiers of Milton is Country Heritage Park, an 80 acre site depicting a rural crossroads community of the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. Complete with blacksmith shop, harness shop, school house, farmsteads, livestock, crops, fairgrounds, industry buildings showcasing Massey, John Deere, Ford, Case IH, Cockshutt and Allis - Chalmers machinery and equipment, Country Heritage Park tells the evolving story of the innovators and entrepreneurs that build the foundations of our modern agriculture and thriving rural communities. It is a lens through which our urban society engages with the continuing evolution of agriculture – a place where people feel the soil, hear the crickets and smell the life of the land.
Times have changed but Country Heritage Park offers a glimpse of an era when horsepower was defined by the number of tails flicking in front of you not what is hiding under your hood. Join us at Country Heritage Park in Milton as we revive activities from a history reveled in by enthusiasts throughout Ontario.
The Park is available for weddings where barns, halls, rooms, and acres of rolling, comforting property within a historical setting, providing you with the perfect setting for the perfect day: yours. It’s also the perfect place for corporate events, trade shows or your next film location. The park is only open to the public during special events so here are a few upcoming (often held annually) special events.
