Columbia Gorge Bluegrass will be celebrating the 33rd year of the Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival on July 21-24, 2016. Just 45 minutes east of Portland, Oregon, the Festival is located at the fairgrounds in beautiful Stevenson, WA and boasts some of the biggest stars in bluegrass and the most stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge. Headlining their event is Kathy Kallick and Peter Rowan with a strong lineup featuring The Special Consensus, The Sweet Lowdown, Whiskey Deaf, Top String Bluegrass, Great Northern Planes and the Puddletown Ramblers.
The Festival officially kicks off with the fan-favourite Jammers Jamboree on Thursday evening. Friday and Saturday features a schedule packed with amazing talent on the stage, and a good old fashioned dance to finish off the night. Each day you will be treated to an assortment of fine craft and music related vendors, delicious food, and micro beers in their beer garden, presented by their local Backwoods Brewery.
Attendees have the opportunity to participate in the annual Band Scramble, Chick Rose Kid’s Academy workshops, a Gospel Show on Sunday and plenty of jamming with your friends throughout. Festival style RVing is available at the event providing electrical, non-electrical sites and amenities such as hot showers and potable water. Rates range from $155 to $200 US and include two weekend passes.
Whether you’re coming your first time or your thirty-third, they welcome you to come dance, jam and RV to the music, fun and beauty that the Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival provides.
