2027 Super Duty® F-350® Lariat® Crew Cab
If you’re anything like me, your truck isn’t just a vehicle—it’s a passport. It’s the thing that gets us to that "middle of nowhere" trailhead, hauls the camper across three provinces, and somehow manages to be our mobile office and kitchen all at once.
I’ve been keeping a close eye on what’s coming down the pipeline, and Ford just dropped the specs for the 2027 Super Duty. Let’s just say they’ve been listening to those of us who spend more time on gravel and dirt than we do on asphalt.
Here’s the breakdown of why I’m already checking my trade-in value.
The "Affordable" Adventurer: Tremor Hits the XL Trim
For a long time, if you wanted the legendary Tremor® Off-Road Package, you had to climb pretty high up the price ladder. Not anymore. For 2027, Ford is bringing the Tremor package to the XL with the STX Appearance Package.
This is the "sweet spot" I’ve been waiting for. You get the rugged capability without paying for cooled seats you’re just going to get dusty anyway. We’re talking:
- 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires on Matte Black wheels.
- Twin lockers: Electronic locking rear and limited-slip front differentials.
- The Tech: Trail Control™ and Rock Crawl Mode™ to make those tricky mountain passes feel like a driveway.
The Long-Distance Dream: Tremor Meets the 8-Foot Bed

2027 Super Duty® F-250® XL® Crew Cab
This is the one that stopped me in my tracks. Historically, if you wanted the off-road chops of a Tremor, you had to settle for a shorter bed. But for the first time, you can now get the Tremor package on a Crew Cab with the 8-foot Long Box.
Why does this matter for travelers? One word: Fuel. This configuration comes with a massive 182-litre (48-gallon) fuel tank. That is the largest tank you can get in a Super Duty. Imagine how deep into the backcountry you can go—and actually get back out—without sweating the fuel gauge.
The "Stealth" Off-Roader: The XL 35-Inch Package

2027 Super Duty® F-550® Platinum® Chassis Cab.
If you prefer to fly under the radar, you’re going to love the new XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package. It’s basically a factory-lifted beast on 35s, but with zero decals.
It’s built for the XL Crew Cab 4x4, and it’s all business. You get the performance shocks, the skid plates, and the clearance, but it looks like a standard work truck. Plus, it’s compatible with the 12,000-lb. Warn® winch. It’s the ultimate "if you know, you know" rig.
Working in First Class: Platinum Chassis Cabs
Finally, for those who run serious rigs—F-350 through F-550 Chassis Cabs—you can finally get the Platinum trim. If your "travels" involve heavy-duty hauling or specialized campers, you can now do it with leather seating surfaces and the full SYNC® 4 experience. Because let’s be honest: if you’re spending 10 hours a day behind the wheel, you deserve a little luxury.
