S01 E02 - Fall RV Shows are back!
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, three consumer RV shows across Canada are set to resume this fall in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia, providing visitors with the opportunity to browse new models, aftermarket accessories, and a variety of RV services.
Although supply chain issues and inventory levels have been a challenge for RV manufacturers and dealers in recent years, Natalie Conway, Executive Director of the Ontario Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (ORVDA), which will be producing the 2022 Toronto Fall RV Show from October 14-16, is optimistic about the selection of models at this year’s event.
“I think the pace of the inventory replenishments is starting to increase, which we anticipate continuing for the rest of the year,” said Conway. “We are expecting to have a good selection of models and something for every type of RVer, lifestyle and budget.”
The event is scheduled to be held at the Toronto Congress Centre and in addition to approximately 25 dealers (at the time of publication) exhibiting, Conway explained they will once again have an accessories store with the latest aftermarket gear with several RV parks in attendance so visitors can discuss travel options for the 2023 season. Seminars addressing topics on towing, tech and best RV lifestyle practises are additional highlights.
“We will have a robust exhibitor showcase this year and after a two-year hiatus, it’s pretty exciting to be putting together a live event,” says Conway. “There’s no direct replacement for attending an RV show and browsing for your dream destination home.”
Two weeks following the Toronto event, The Quebec RV Show, presented by the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association of Quebec (ACVRQ), will be held October 27-30 at the Centre de Foires Expocité in Quebec City.
Also presented for the first time in recent years, the ACVRQ announced that showgoers will have the chance to browse up to 175 RVs of many makes, models and floorplans from approximately 20 dealers.
“We want all RVers in attendance to have a front-row seat to discover what’s coming for the 2023 season,” says Bernard Carigan, General Manager of the ACVRQ. “This way consumers will be able to book their model in advance (for next season).”
Carigan explained the show will also present a number of aftermarket accessories, RV parks and scheduled seminars.
Rounding out the seasonal events is the Snowbird RV Show and Sale in Abbotsford, BC. This is the province’s only show of its kind in the fall and with more than 11,148 sq m (120,000 sq ft) of exhibitor space, expect to see several RV dealers displaying a variety of models. Event organizers are also anticipating more than 50 exhibitors, which will showcase parts and accessories, various RV services, towing gear and more.
