In response to the growing request for improved connectivity while staying at Manning Park Resort (MPR), significant wifi and internet upgrades are underway to dramatically boost both the speed and reach of MPR’s wifi network, as well as introducing a dedicated corporate guest network.
MPR’s network speed has been upgraded to more than three times the previous capacity. The reach of the wifi signal is also being expanded to include the Pinewoods building, cabins and chalets, and the new premium cabins being built in the summer of 2017.
Wifi access will now be unlimited for visitors in the Lodge area and Pinewoods building. A basic service for communication purposes and basic internet browsing will be available as a free service for our Resort guests during their stay. An enhanced, higher speed upgrade will also be available for a minimal fee for both Resort guests and the general public.
MPR is also excited to offer a new dedicated corporate network as part of their business meetings packages.
“Our corporate, group and event clientele informed us we needed to provide a more robust and enhanced network to meet their needs. We are proud to be able to offer them this dedicated network to enhance their meeting capabilities and outcomes,” Resort Operations Manager, Vern Schram says.
Internet will now be available in the Alpine, Cascade and Tamarack meeting rooms. With group meeting room capacities exceeding 200 people, and Resort accommodations for over 400 guests, Schram says “Manning Park Resort is an extremely desirable location for group meetings and retreats.”
Offering full packages that include catering, accommodation, meeting space and excellent recreational activities, “it is an outstanding venue to balance work and play.”
While cell reception is not yet available from network providers anywhere in the provincial park, the improved wifi and internet capabilities will serve to assist guests to stay in touch while still being able to enjoy a fresh air experience in the surrounding mountains.
To celebrate this exciting addition, as well as other recent improvements at MPR, including the new Alpine Room, complete resurfacing of MPR’s entrances, renovations of the Pinewoods Dining Room, the construction of five premium cabins during summer of 2017 and the ongoing guest room upgrades, a grand opening celebration will be held mid-summer in the Alpine Room.
As Schram states, “We are committed to improving our offerings and providing the best possible experiences for our guests.”
