Carlisle CSL 16 Trailer Tire
By Cassandra Redding
The Carlstar Group announced the launch of the CSL16 all-steel radial tire sold under the Carlisle® brand. The CSL16 tire is the newest addition to the Carlisle brand trailer portfolio, and offers heavy duty hauling capabilities for large equipment, and extremely heavy loads.
“The addition of the CSL16 all-steel radial tire expands our already robust specialty trailer tire portfolio and creates opportunities for our customers to take industrial hauling to the next level,” said Laren Harmen, Executive Vice President of Sales for The Carlstar Group. “The robust construction of the CSL16 tire increases performance, strength and durability that caters to every hauling need.”
The CSL16 tire features an all-steel body that provides an extra strength load rating of up to 4,400 pounds of towing capacity – making it the highest load rating of any Carlisle brand trailer tire available. Its robust construction combined with an industrial highway tread design leads to extended service life on the highway and protects against environmental elements.
The CSL16 tire is available in two sizes, ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16. For additional information, please visit www.CarlisleBrandTires.com
Garnet Instruments Limited's New 709-BTP3 RV Tank Monitor
Garnet Instruments Limited proudly announces the launch of its new 709-BTP3 RV tank monitor. This new gauge now has Bluetooth® wireless technology, which allows RV owners to check their tank levels via their smartphone or tablet device.
Tank levels and battery voltage can be displayed on a smartphone or tablet with a free downloadable app available on both iTunes and Google Play. The 709-BTP3 gauge monitors battery voltage, freshwater and sewer holding tanks, as well as connecting to your LPG tank sensor and includes a pump switch.
“Unlike so many other gauges on the market today that foul up with waste and often read full regardless of tank levels, Garnet`s SeeLeveL II™ gauges do not foul up, are easy to install and provide an accurate readout. There is no more guessing how full your tank is.” stated George Fraser, President and Founder of Garnet Instruments Ltd. “With the new Bluetooth® enabled gauge we have taken it one step further and can now provide you with that same accurate up-to-date information via your smartphone or tablet.”
The 709-BTP3 is accurate to 3/8 of an inch (0.9525 cm). Functioning on a common bus system, the SeeLeveL only requires two wires to connect the sensors to the display and can use existing wires. Accessible tanks are easy to retrofit as the sensors adhere externally to the holding tanks, eliminating sewage buildup on the sensors. The sensors are designed to be shortened with the option to stack two sensors for larger tanks.

‘RV Care’ Webcast Offers Tips for Winter RV Prep
This past weekend RV Care presented its third live webcast for RV owners.
According to a press release, RV owners from across Canada were online to learn about “Preparing Your RV for Winter,” with webcast host Derek Paterson and industry expert Art Dack, both from the RV Care Network.
The live presentation addressed exterior and interior preparations to help prolong the life of any RV that’s exposed to the Canadian winter climate. Battery storage as well as winterizing tips for the do-it-yourselfer were discussed, with recommendations and handy tips for all RV owners.
It was a highly interactive session with viewers asking questions and sharing their own experiences through the online chat box. Carl Aubrey, the parts and service manager at 1000 Islands RV in Gananoque, Ontario, was kept busy answering questions and providing assistance in the chat box throughout the webcast.
To help participants protect their RVs this winter, RV Care gave away one hundred $150 off coupons towards the purchase of an Adco RV cover from any RV Care dealership. There were also great prizes given away, including an Avalanche Cooler, donated by Dometic.
“RV Care dealerships are reporting a jump in visits and calls, following the webcast, from people looking for Adco covers and other supplies,” confirmed Earl Manning, general manager of RV Care. “We’re looking forward to a busy fall and winter season across the RV Care Network.”
Several regions in Canada are still enjoying great RV weather, so anyone who missed the live presentation can watch a recording through the RV Care website - www.rvcare.ca or on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNRG8QITCc0.
