Canadian RVing & Camping Week - May 24-29

From Tuesday, May 24 to Sunday, May 29 campgrounds across Canada will celebrate the RVing and Camping lifestyle. In British Columbia the event is being coordinated by the Camping and RVing BC Coalition.
The goal is to encourage Canadians to go camping and enjoy the great outdoors, while taking advantage of discounted camping rates and participating in charitable fundraising activities across the country.
This year, Go RVing Canada and the Canadian Camping and RV Council are partnering with Make-A-Wish® Canada for the annual Canadian RVing and Camping Week, with the stated goal of raising $20,000, to help wishes come true for children facing life-threatening illnesses.
Campers can help by purchasing LED Wish lanterns at participating campgrounds with all proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish® Canada. Then on Saturday, May 28, at 10 pm (local time), campers will gather, make their personal Wish, then build a garden to shine their light for Make-A-Wish® Canada. Alternatively campers can make a donation online.
As well, participating campgrounds are offering campers reduced rates to stay during the week, either:
- Two nights (Friday & Saturday) for $50.00+GST; May 27-28, 2016
- Or stay 5 nights for the price of 4 from May 24-28, 2016; (Tuesday through Saturday)
To ensure you can get the campground of your choice, reservations must be made in advance directly with the individual properties listed. Please note campsite availability is limited and on a first come first served basis. Some conditions apply. Note some campgrounds are not participating raising funds for Make-A-Wish® Canada but are still offering rate discounts.
