The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) has kicked off its annual online auction, running until June 22, 2025, in support of the Care Camps Foundation (Canada)—a charitable organization dedicated to helping children with cancer experience the healing power of nature.
Supporting Children, One Bid at a Time
Each year, the BCLCA community comes together to raise funds for Care Camps, which provide specialized oncology camps and outdoor programs for children facing the challenges of cancer treatment. These camps offer more than just fun—they create a place where children can relax, laugh, and simply enjoy being kids again, away from the hospitals and medical routines.
What’s Up for Auction?
The 2025 auction is packed with exciting items generously donated by BCLCA members and partners. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a thoughtful gift, there’s something for everyone:
Glamping stays
Cozy cabin accommodations
Outdoor experiences
Gift certificates for local eats, coffee, and more
Bidding is easy and open to everyone. With each winning bid, you're helping bring joy and comfort to children who truly need it.

Making a Difference Together
Funds raised through the auction support over 100 Care Camps across North America, giving children battling cancer a place to heal emotionally, connect with others, and feel like themselves again—even if just for a little while.
“Seeing the camping community come together to support such a meaningful cause is truly inspiring,” says Darlene Oswald, Care Camps Auction Organizer and Member Services at BCLCA. “Every donation, every bid, helps bring joy and healing to children and families facing incredibly tough times.”
Join BCLCA in spreading hope. Your support can help send more kids to camp, where they can experience nature, friendship, and moments of joy during one of the hardest times of their lives.
