The 3rd Annual BC Interior RV Show was another successful year and because of the fantastic community support, the BCIRV Society directors were thrilled to donate $4,200 to The Salvation Army Community Food Bank. These well needed funds compliment the 2,200+ lbs of food that was collected during the April 2014 three-day event – almost doubling the amount of non-perishable items collected at the event in years prior!
The BC Interior RV Society directors have also spent the last few months working closely with the Global Spectrum/SOEC staff to establish a long-term commitment to our community by signing a three year agreement to host the growing event every April until 2017.
“On behalf of the City of Penticton, we are thrilled to be signing a three year lease with the BC Interior RV Society”, states Global Spectrum’s Dean Clarke, General Manager and Regional VP. “The South Okanagan Events Centre was built as an extension of the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre to host events of this size and calibre. Global Spectrum takes great pride in creating and hosting complex-wide events and the BC Interior RV Show is an event born from that mandate. We couldn’t be happier.”
