Fall is the Perfect Season
When the month of October arrives, people usually think fall leaves, Halloween and all things pumpkin-spiced. But for RVers, the season is so much more than candy and the colour orange — it's the "shoulder season", meaning you'll find more desirable prices, fewer crowds, and even better weather on your trip to many popular destinations.
In our biggest issue of the year, we bring you stories about hot spots you might not have visited before, including trips to Texas, Florida, Arizona, California, and Mexico.
We also have a ton of Expert Advice to help you get organized before taking off to your chosen getaway. Have you ever figured out your cell phone charges when you're in another country? Our Understanding Roaming makes sense of all those fees and rates. Another article that may save you time and money, is our Travel Insurance on buying a policy with no stability period.
If you're like us and have been wondering how to lessen your environmental footprint, we think you'll find some great tips in our Eco-Friendly RVing story. Two other relevant stories for today are Renting an RV and Camping Enters the Shared Economy.
If you are going to be out and about with your RV during the colder months you should read our Warm Up Your Rig With In-Floor Heating — it will help you make your vehicle just a bit cozier. When you get back from your trip, our latest Hi-Tech article It's Time to Prepare for Winter Storage will help you put away your RV with ease.
Wherever you go this season, we’d love to hear about it. Tell us more about you by sending us a photo, writing an email, or visiting us on social media. See page 78 for more information.
