16 BC campsites will support Make-a-Wish on May 28

On Saturday, May 28, campgrounds across Canada will help raise funds for Make-A-Wish® Canada by coming together and participating in a Wish event.  

This event is organized as part of Canadian RVing and Camping Week May 24 to 29, 2016. Canadian RVing and Camping Week is designed to encourage Canadians to get outside to enjoy a fun, safe and secure camping experience with family and friends.  

This year, Go RVing Canada and the Canadian Camping and RV Council have partnered with Make-A-Wish® Canada, with a stated goal of raising $20,000 to help wishes come true for children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

Campers can help by purchasing a $2 LED Wish lantern at participating Canadian campgrounds with all proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish Canada. On Saturday, May 28th at 10:00 pm (local time), campers will gather, make their personal Wish, then build a garden to shine their light for Make-A-Wish Canada. Alternatively, campers can make a direct donation online.
