🇨🇦 What exactly is the Canada Strong Pass?
If you missed it last year, the Canada Strong Pass first launched on June 20, 2025, and ran until September 2. It’s not a physical pass — think of it more like a nationwide program that unlocks free or discounted access to Parks Canada sites, museums, galleries, and even Via Rail travel.
And yes, it’s available to both Canadians and international visitors.
🌲 What’s included this summer?
Once the pass kicks in, here’s what you can take advantage of:
- Free entry to all national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada — just show up during regular hours.
- 25% off camping and overnight stays with Parks Canada (though regular fees still apply for things like guided tours, permits, parking, fishing licenses, and firewood)
- Free and reduced admission at participating museums and galleries:
- Free for ages 17 and under
- 50% off for ages 18 to 24
- Via Rail discounts:
- Kids and youth (17 and under) travel free with an adult using code CANADAFAM
- Adults aged 18–24 get 25% off with code CANADA1824 on valid routes across Canada.

The free admission perks don’t apply to:
- Provincial or territorial parks
- Sépaq parks in Québec
