Many campgrounds work hard to provide an inviting space for kids.

If you’re a parent, you have been there. You plan a family vacation to an RV park with your young children. You pack up all of their toys and/or electronics hoping it will keep them busy during the duration of the trip.
Then it happens. Ten minutes after you set up camp they are bored. All you want to do is relax in the outdoors and have your children spend some quality time outside.
Depending on where you like to camp, whether it's a state park or private campground, amenities at certain places for children can be limited. Some parks are not equipped with playground facilities and the ones that do look like they haven’t been maintained in years. It’s often difficult to ensure that there are plenty of activities to keep your kids occupied.

Activities keep the kids busy and ensure they enjoy the outdoors.
With some proper planning, you can find numerous RV parks that cater to children of all ages. From Disney theme parks and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts in the U.S. to KOAs and countless private campgrounds across Canada, there are some wonderful advantages to these parks and can provide great experiences.
During your research, you’ll find a lot of RV parks with endless activities for children. The larger amenity-rich campgrounds have wave pools. waterslides and ‘lazy rivers’ while others are equipped with playgrounds, basketball and tetherball courts, as well as green spaces to enjoy a myriad of outdoor activities.
What is also exciting about kid-friendly campgrounds is there are events hosted throughout the summer and fall. Nature hikes, education classes, sports tournaments, and festive weekends like Canada Day or Thanksgiving all provide great outdoor fun. Another great benefit about kid-friendly RV parks is there are many other children for your kids to socialize and play with.
On a final note, campgrounds with amenities for children work very hard to create an inviting space. They can provide a lot of enjoyment during the RV season and most of all, lasting family memories.
Happy Camping!
