4WDrive Magazine
At 4WDrive, we love competition. Competition between manufacturers drives the development of improved materials, designs and best of all - lowers prices. Relatively new to the scene is Fury Off Road with a brand new tire this year called the Country Hunter II. It’s a mud terrain tire with an aggressive tread pattern for conquering the trail while still keeping mind that we want it to be quieter on-road so it’s comfortable to use on our daily driver.
They achieve a quieter ride by using smaller tread voids down the centre of the tire and larger tread voids toward the shoulder. A tough 3-ply polyester construction should keep durability high and impact damage low.
It’s so new that it is currently offered in two practical sizes - 265/70R17 (31.5”) and 285/70R17 (33”). We can’t wait to get a set to beat up on the trail. Let us know if you get some first!
If those sizes don’t work for you, No Fear! The original, slightly less aggressive, Country M/T is available is sizes from 33” to 42” and rim sizes from 17” to 30”.

One of the honours we enjoy at the SEMA Show each year is the position of a Global Media Awards Judge. I pick my top ten favourite products for Canada, and if those new products get enough votes, they get a Global Media Award (and a couple free drinks).
I usually end up with more than ten, and although I feel Canada should get more votes, no one else does. As a result, here are the products we chose and a couple who we wanted to vote for.
