Hankook Tire announced today that the company’s Dyna SYNC, the futuristic concept tire for off-road driving, has been awarded the 2016 Red Dot Design Award for Design Concept. This award proves Hankook Tire’s innovative design leadership and premium brand asset are recognized by a prestigious global design award.
The award-winning DynaSYNC was highly evaluated for illustrating Hankook Tire’s leading design capabilities and innovative technology. In collaboration with Vibram®, a premium outsole company, Hankook Tire developed the futuristic concept tire that pushes the boundaries of both performance and design. The combination of Hankook Tire’s advanced technologies and Vibram®’s hyper-functional outsole designs created the innovative off-road tire.
DynaSYNC is Hankook Tire’s next generation off-road tire which enables safe and powerful driving in diverse off-road conditions. It features Vibram®’s iconic Carrarmato lugs design on its tread pattern to improve traction in mountainous terrain. The honeycomb grooves structure prevent puncturing or tire chips from debris like gravel or stones. The structure improves shock absorption and provides powerful and safe handling. The sidewall also comes in a variety of color compounds, allowing car owners to match the tires to their car’s body colour.
Mr. Seung Hwa Suh, Vice Chairman and CEO of Hankook Tire said, “It is a great honour that Hankook Tire has been recognized once again for its innovative technology by the prestigious Red Dot Design Award". He added that, “Receiving the award solidifies Hankook Tire’s commitment and determination to leading future driving through progressive innovation and creative design. Hankook Tire will continue to contribute to advancements in driving with aspiration for innovative technology.”
It is the fourth time in 2016 alone that Hankook Tire received international design awards for its innovative achievements, following the iF Design Award in February, the Mercury Excellence Awards and awards in the Product Design category at the Red Dot Design Award in March. The continuous recognition by the world’s renowned design awards highlights Hankook Tire’s global top tier technology and design leadership.
