Back 1998 4WDrive was a print only publication - like pretty much everything I think. Truck enthusiasts and off-roaders could only buy print copies on newsstands; we snail mailed tens of thousands of subscription renewals, and kept massive file cabinets to hold, well everything. 4WDrive is still sold in print on newsstands, and tens of thousands of copies are mailed out to subscribers. There’s just something about getting that new mag in the mail, ripping it out of the package, getting that smell of fresh ink while flipping through the heavy, glossy pages. In a way it’s a bit nostalgic, the same way the smell of two-stroke exhaust reminds me of dirtbikes, and snowmobiles as a kid.
But as much as we love paper we also love the convenience and impact of internet and video. Now we reach tens of thousands of 4x4 enthusiasts around the world digitally through iTunes, Pocketmags and our own web site.
All this is thanks to truck enthusiasts like you. The guys and gals who love to 4x4 outdoors, tow your boats and RV’s, go fishing and hunting, and get to work!
It’s been less than a year of posting to our YouTube channel and we recently hit 10,000 subscribers. We want to thank-you for subscribing, thank-you for your comments, your likes and your feedback. We didn’t intend to be YouTube creators; we just love to drive trucks, and pull them apart, and put them back together differently.
