NO DAKAR FOR ALDO RACING, SILK WAY BOUND
After four consecutive appearances at the Dakar Rally for Montrealers David Bensadoun and Patrick Beaulé, running either as a team or solo, ALDO Racing skipped the 2016 Dakar Rally. The Canadian ALDO Rally-Raid Racing Team is gearing up for a new challenge in 2016. Principles of the team have entered their Toyota Tacoma rally truck in the 2016 Silk Way Rally scheduled to run July 8-24. This year's off-road event returns to a transcontinental concept that will take competitors through back roads from Moscow to Beijing. Extreme road conditions await Canadian driver David Bensadoun and his teammate Patrick Beaulé during the 10,000 km trek. Points will be scored throughout the nearly 5,000 k m of Special Stages.
The sixth edition of the Silk Way Rally will start from Red Square in Moscow on July 8 and teams will be greeted in the Chinese capital at the conclusion of the 15-stage rally. The official day of rest for all teams is scheduled for July 16 in a still to be determined location in Kazakhstan. The ALDO Toyota Tacoma will compete for top honours against private entries in the car class.
