World-renowned Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club is the place to go for record-breaking trophy salmon fishing. Located 485 kilometres (300 miles) north of Vancouver, B.C., you’ll enjoy fishing the uncrowded waters around this remote lodge. A 57-kilogram (126-pound) salmon was caught just minutes from the lodge’s docks!
Picture yourself in a boat on the ocean where rugged, snow-capped mountains reach down to the sea. You’ll be amazed at the spectacular scenery that surrounds you. Viewing whales and wildlife is as easy as opening your eyes and looking around. There are no roads here; there’s just you and the great outdoors.
The lodge is nestled in a tranquil bay, mere minutes from some of the richest salmon fishing grounds in the world. Head out on the calm, protected waters for the angling adventure of a lifetime. The chinook (king) salmon are plentiful, with average weights between nine and 14 kilograms (20 and 30 pounds) and some enormous trophies reaching upwards of 32 kilograms (70 pounds). Lively coho (silver) salmon range in weights from 4.5 to seven kilograms (10 to 15 pounds), with bragging-rights trophies topping the scales at nine kilograms (20 pounds).
The Kelly family have fished these waters and taken guests on fishing adventures for over 30 years now. To put it quite simply, they are the best at what they do. This fly-in fishing lodge includes downriggers in their fishing arsenal, which increases the odds of catching that trophy salmon of a lifetime. They provide seminars on boat safety, navigation, conservation, and various fishing techniques, including the operation of the downrigger. Beginner or seasoned angler, the folks at Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club provide you with everything you need. Basic packages are self-guided; however, if you prefer, they will custom-cater your trip to be partially or fully guided.
At the Sportsman’s Club you’ll find exceptional service, first-class equipment, spectacular scenery, whale watching and wildlife viewing in a remote wilderness setting tailored for uninterrupted quality time. Their all-inclusive packages begin with your flight from Vancouver, B.C. There are two trips per week beginning in late June and continuing through to early September, when the salmon runs are at their peak. This guarantees guests consistent fishing for Rivers Inlet’s famous, trophy-sized salmon, along with excellent bottom fishing for halibut and lingcod.
Life gets busy, and the Rivers Inlet Sportsman’s Club is the perfect place to spend some precious time with family, friends, colleagues, or business associates.
