The sunshine hasn't left just yet. Here are 5 beaches to explore in Vancouver, BC, before the temperature cools down!
1. Deep Cove Beach (North Vancouver)
The waters at Deep Cove are calm making it possible to spot marine animals. It's also a popular spot for water sports like surf skiing, kayaking stand up paddleboarding. If you want to venture away from the water, Quarry Rock is a relatively easy hike that offers spectacular views of Indian Arm at the top.
2. Garry Point Park (Steveston)
This laid-back, dog friendly park, is the perfect place to spend a day and watch the sunset. The Steveston Harbour is a short walk away, where there are many shops along the boardwalk and is home to some delicious seafood.

3. Buntzen Lake (Anmore)
This lake is only one hour from the busy city. Crowds flock here on sunny days but the north side of the lake offers more seclusion with a few hiking trails surrounding the lake as well.

4. White Rock Beach
A family-friendly beach, great for fishing and crabbing. During low tide, you can collect seashells and explore the sea creatures of the rock pools up close.

5. English Bay Beach
Close to downtown Vancouver, a great spot to go if you only have an hour or two to spare and is accessible by bus. The beach connects to the seawall that borders Stanley Park, so if you like to bike or rollerblade with the ocean breeze rushing through your hair, this is the place to do it!
