Ranger has added to its Z500 Comanche line with the L series, including the Z520L Comanche and Z521L Comanche. Among the features on the new models are LED lights, wraparound SRS cockpit seats and molded-in footrests.
“The new wraparound seats are going to be a big hit with both tournament anglers and weekend fishermen alike,” Ranger design engineer David Stoner said in a statement. “With a wider seat and SRS suspension, the L Series gives a superior and more comfortable ride. Combine this wider space with the adjustable front-to-back seat track, [and] both the cockpit and passenger seats will fit anglers of just about any size.”
The Z520L measures 20 feet, 9 inches, with a 7-foot, 11-inch beam, and it comes with a Minn Kota Fortrex trolling motor. The Z521L is 21 feet, 7 inches, with an 8-foot, 1-inch beam and comes with the same trolling motor. Both boats are rated for an outboard as large as 250 hp.
The bow of each boat can fit up to a 12-inch electronic screen, and the area features a redesigned workstation with a tool rack and a cupholder. Beneath the padded front casting deck is the patented Power Ventilation Rod Storage system.
All lockers are gelcoated and lined with custom rubber mats. The aft deck offers additional rod storage and dual aerated live wells. The new helm console accepts electronics with up to a 16-inch screen and it has digital switching keypads and keyless ignition. Both new models come standard with Lowrance HDS electronics at the bow and helm and are offered in single or dual consoles.
