As part of its 60th anniversary, Boston Whaler is introducing new versions of the 150 and 170 Montauk.
“The Montauk has always been about effortless utility and purposeful design,” Jeff Vaughn, vice president of sales, marketing and customer service at Boston Whaler, said in a statement.
“We worked to maintain that clean simplicity and ultimate reliability while also leveraging customer feedback to implement strategic upgrades. The new 150 and 170 combine everything our customers love about the Montauk with improvements in versatility and design that bring them squarely into the future.”
The new models can be equipped to suit an owner’s needs. The optional Fishing Package adds a compass, a 36-quart or 72-quart cooler seat, console-mounted rod holders and tackle drawers. Raymarine electronics are also available. The 170 Montauk features a 25-gallon fuel tank and a forward integrated fishbox that drains overboard.
Both boats are available with a teak package that includes teak boarding steps and swim ladder flooring. For model year 2018 the boats will have a custom 60th anniversary badge.
