The new T25 outboard
Another new outboard release from Yamaha is the T25. Based on the award winning F25, it is built to handle tough conditions with its power and grip. The T25 can also aim at a wider selection of kicker applications with the added 25-inch shaft model.
“Yamaha continues to lead the high-thrust category with its T25, which follows the trend in the boating industry to bigger, heavier vessels with outboard power,” said JF Rioux, Yamaha Motor Canada’s Division Manager, Marine and Business Planning. “West Coast boaters who troll for hours, miles offshore, need a kicker that offers the power required to control large boats in rough seas and the durability to provide return-to-port peace of mind. The new T25 delivers on every level.”
The new T25 benefits from the technology and features available on the standard F25 model, including an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, battery-less Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), Variable Trolling rpm control and compatibility with Yamaha’s Command Link® digital gauges.
The T25 also comes fitted with a patented dual thrust propeller, specifically tested and developed for this outboard. These big-diameter, low-pitch propellers offer exceptional thrust and efficiency for pushing big loads in both forward and reverse with exceptional control.
For great performance, the T25 also features a two-cylinder powerhead with two valves per cylinder and single overhead cam.
The T25 is available in both 20-inch (L) and 25-inch (X) shaft length to suit a wider variety of hulls and provides both electric (with manual back-up) and manual start on all models. The T25 is expected to be available in the spring of 2019.
