FLIR Systems expanded the Raymarine Axiom Multifunction Display line with the new Axiom Pro, which will make its debut this week at ICAST.
Designed for serious offshore enthusiasts and professional captains, the Axiom Pro features Raymarine HybridTouch, which combines multi-touchscreen controls with an ergonomically designed keypad for easier use in myriad conditions.
For anglers, Axiom Pro is available with a 1-kW CHIRP sonar and Raymarine’s RealVision 3D sonar.
“Raymarine’s combination of Axiom Pro’s RealVision 3D sonar and built-in 1kW CHIRP sonar is a game changer,” FLIR Maritime vice president and general manager Gregoire Outters said in a statement. “Axiom Pro provides serious offshore anglers and boaters with larger display sizes, deep-water CHIRP sonar performance and the flexibility of HybridTouch control for an exceptional, all-in-one navigation experience.”
The Axiom Pro line is available in nine-, 12- and 16-inch displays, and the available CHIRP sonar employs a spectrum of frequencies and lets anglers see through dense schools of baitfish, identify thermoclines and simultaneously target gamefish in deep water, Raymarine said.
The screen is designed to be visible and usable in bright sunlight with high-definition and in-plane switching display technology that maximizes viewing angles and reduces blackouts for users wearing polarized sunglasses.
Axiom Pro is powered by Raymarine’s LightHouse 3 operating system and has a quad-core processor so it can be integrated with multiple displays, CHIRP radar, Evolution autopilot and FLIR thermal night vision technology.
