Mustang Survival®, the North American brand known for innovative solutions for the most demanding marine environments, proudly unveils the Khimera™ Personal Flotation Device (PFD), a brand-new, category-defining PFD. On display during this month’s ICAST trade show, the Khimera PFD provides unmatched mobility and enhanced buoyancy in a lightweight and low profile shape. Acknowledging the paddling community’s preference for foam, Mustang Survival built the Khimera PFD with enough foam flotation to provide neutral buoyancy and a backup manually-activated inflation cell for additional safety.

The dual floatation system of the Khimera PFD blends the security of foam flotation with the slim profile of inflatable technology. With adjustable shoulder straps and a clean, snag-free exterior the PFD offers a greater range of motion and eases re-entry into the boat from water. The Khimera PFD also features:
- Total 21 lb. of buoyancy through a blend of foam and manual CO2 inflation, offering 30% more buoyancy compared to traditional foam PFDs
- USCG and TC approvals
The Khimera PFD is available in Azure Blue and Admiral Gray with an MSRP of $200. The entire spring 2018 collection, featuring the Khimera PFD, will be on display at the Mustang Survival booth #934, at the ICAST trade show in Orlando, July 12 – 14, 2017.
