It’s a ‘good day’ when you can tee-off in the cool desert morning air, with the sunrise casting a golden glow across the manicured fairways as a kayaker glides by barely causing a ripple in the calm waterway.  But then everyday is going to be a good day here in Indio, California at the Motorcoach Country Club & Luxury RV Park.

There was a study done at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS that showed lifestyle satisfaction (happiness) was a function of the number of amenities and activities available. Not doubt this comes as no surprise to you. It is interesting to note that they found you don’t actually have to do more, just knowing you can makes you happier.

Which is why Snowbirds who stay at the Motorcoach Country Club are a very satisfied group.

The Santa Rosa Mountains are reflected in the calm waters of the canal next to the waterfront RV lots here in the Coachella Valley. Unlike other areas of the country, grass is plentiful as there are no water shortage issues. In the almost windless southern end of the Coachella Valley, famous landscapes and landmarks like the Salton Sea, Joshua Tree National Park and the San Bernadino National Forest are just a short drive away. And important urban amenities, in this internationally acclaimed resort area, are even closer, you’re just two minutes from Costco, Wal-Mart and dozens of other stores.

The word luxury is often used rather carelessly so it’s difficult to appreciate what ‘Luxury RV Park’ means until you take a closer look. Basic amenities here are often luxury amenities elsewhere. All the lots are large, averaging 40’ x 115’, and have hook-ups for city water, sewer, 200 amp electric, natural gas, telephone, cable and there’s wi-fi internet access throughout the park. The Privacy lots are back-in with big back yards that can be gated. The Golf course lots are drive in so not only do you have a facing view, you have direct access to the 9 hole par three executive course. The Waterfront lots are also drive-in but now your facing view is your dock with access to almost 2 miles of canals – perfect for a morning kayak, canoe or cruising in up to an 18’ electric boat.

A long walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds will take you past three (3) pools, three (3) tennis courts, the health club and on to the clubhouse where you can have an evening dinner in the excellent restaurant as the mountains change colour with the setting sun.

There is very little that isn’t available to you here on a daily basis. The area is known as the Golf Capital of the world so let the staff book you in at one of the nearby championship courses.  The valley has a population of roughly 450,00 with approximately an additional 100,000 seasonal snowbirds. Which means you’ll never run out of restaurants, museums, art galleries, shopping, attractions and entertainment. In fact, Indio is known as the City of Festivals, where you can indulge yourself in all your interests and you’re likely to discover some new ones.

The resort only allows 30’ to 45’ motorcoaches – no trailers or park models are allowed. In this pet friendly resort, you rent by the day, week or month or as many RVers are doing, you can purchase your own deeded RV property here. Owners have the opportunity to build a 9’ x 13’ casita or sun shelter, or add a pool and hot tub! It’s easy to see why on-site realtor Kerry Johnston says, “It’s the finest facility in the country.”
